Fluor is one of the world’s largest publicly traded engineering, procurement, construction (EPC), maintenance, and project management companies. Fluor’s operations span globally, and they work with governments and Clients in diverse industries, consistently delivering some of the most challenging infrastructure projects within time and budget.
NetServices, working under its prime contractor Lockheed Martin, was retained to optimize Fluor’s worldwide email system based on IBM’s Domino platform. NetServices worked closely with the Fluor technical leadership to re-architect the Domino spoke-hub email architecture and significantly increased overall throughput/response time of both internal and external email. Even the lowest bandwidth locations, in the remotest of areas, were able to send/receive email with consistent availability and security.
